Digital Theater Workshops

We will have three workshops in which children perform a fable and record it as a readers’ theater play. They also create illustrations, and add music & sound effects to create a short video.

For children in grades 2-6.

Saturday January 6th 10am “Lion and Mouse”

Saturday January 13th 10am “Crow and Pitcher”

Saturday January 27th 1:30pm “Belling the Cat”

Please register for each workshop your child wishes to attend.

Library premiere of the productions and a Family Maker Day will be on Saturday, February 3, from 10:15 am—10:45 am.

As part of this special event, a Sound Recording Studio will be set-up in the small study room. Come in and learn how to use the equipment and software.   (Hint: It’s easy!)  There will be opportunities that Saturday for 5-10 minute “mini” recording sessions.   Read a poem, share a joke, tell a story, sing a song, or play an instrument (bring your own instrument).   Record, edit, and add special effects.   If you want, we can even add your mini-project to the library website.
