Many Junior and Senior High Schools assign summer reading to keep students reading and to help prepare them for a new level of education. The Victor Central School District is no exception. If you have children going into the 7th or 8th grades, the information you need is at this Victor Schools website. As the brochures say “All students entering (7th or 8th) grade will be expected to read a book of their choice. There are only two requirements for this book: It cannot be a book previously read. It must be an appropriate level of difficulty for you.”
There are suggested books listed on the brochures but these go fast. We have lists of Caldecott and Newbury Award winners for you to explore. These are all available in a binder in the Young Adult room. As always, if you need help, stop at the circulation desk.
Have a great summer reading!
